The Vision
The rail sector aims to continuously improve the rolling stock procurement for the benefit of society, the environment and the business. By improved environmental communication between stakeholders, the UIC/ UNIFE Procurement & Environment Network will contribute to improve the competitive advantage of the rail sector.

The Purpose
The meeting will bring participants a joint step forward towards concrete environmental requirements for railway rolling stock. Firstly, by presenting the draft UIC leaflet “Environmental Specifications for new Rolling Stock”, the preliminary outcome of the UIC project PROSPER. Secondly, to discuss the opportunities and challenges of Eco-procurement.
