REPID

Project overview

The REPID project is the continuation of the successful RAVEL project ending in November 2001. The RAVEL project developed a methodology of how to handle environmental requirements in the rail design (design for Environment) as well as in railway procurement projects.

The purpose of the REPID project is to ensure that the results from the EU funded project RAVEL, are made available to the European railway sector. The objectives of the REPID project is to provide, based on the results of the RAVEL project:

A framework with a legal body for dealing with standardisation of Environmental Performance Indicators EPI and data formats within the railway industry
A tool for improving usability of Environmental Performance Indicators EPI and data formats.

The project is divided into four work packages (WP):

WP1 concerns project coordination.
WP2 concerns the establishment of a network.
WP3 concerns technical maintenance.
WP4 concerns the software solution.
